On December 2, 2024, Dr. Berry Juliandi, Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of IPB University, visited NAIST. At the courtesy visit, Dr. Kazuhiro Shiozaki (President), Dr. Jun Ota (Vice President for International Affairs), Prof. Yasumasa Bessho (Director of Biological Science), and Specially Appointed Prof. Hisaji Maki welcomed him.

 Dr. Berry Juliandi is an alumnus of NAIST, and therefore he shared a few good old memories. He also introduced various funds supported by Indonesian government investing in science and technology fields and young researchers, and expressed his hope that these funds would be used to strengthen research collaboration with NAIST. President Shiozaki also expressed his enthusiasm to actively work to strengthen ties with Indonesia.

 This visit was a meaningful opportunity for both sides to enhance future collaborations.
